BORDER OSTEOPATHS
OSTEOPATHS IN SHREWSBURY AND KINGTON
We are experienced osteopaths in Shrewsbury and Kington, providing in-depth treatment to help you get back on track. We treat by encouraging the fullest range of movement of your joints and muscles using articulation, massage and stretching.
We set aside an hour for both your first and any subsequent sessions. This means your treatments are unhurried and allow time for explanation and evaluation of progress, as well as showing you exercises or giving other advice to aid your improvement at home and during work.

New to Osteopathy?
If you're new to us or to osteopathy, you will find a summary of what to expect on your first visit. The General Osteopathic Council web pages also provide useful guidelines for patients. By law, anyone calling themselves an osteopath must be registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOC). Training is to degree level over four years full time or five years part time. This includes two years assessed clinical practice. After qualifying, osteopaths are required to carry out continuing professional development every year.
What We Treat
We give a list of common conditions we treat and if you don't find your symptoms listed, it's best to call us and talk about what you're experiencing and we will be able to say whether and how we can support you. If we feel a different healthcare professional is better placed to assist you we will recommend you visit your GP or we can occasionally refer you directly.
You can make an appointment without a doctor's referral, but if you have health insurance which covers osteopathic treatment, you may require a referral so please check your policy.
